King of the Ziggurat

Description

Holding the ziggurat with overwhelming forces will cause the enemy to withdraw. In this battle, two armies try to gain the stronger hold on a ziggurat.

Special Rules

Matthias built a special terrain piece for this scenario (well, two actually) for which we made up the following rules:

  • The control zone is the ziggurat, the earth, rock and grass covered part is only there for aesthetic reasons.

  • If a model is concealed from it's attacker by the steps of the ziggurat he gains cover.

  • For ease of play, there are no movement penalties for moving between levels of the ziggurat.

  • Deployment is 12" away from the Ziggurat measured from the lowest step.

Victory Conditions

A player wins the game when he has accumulated 5 Victory Points.

The scenario is an adaption of the Moshpit and Steampowered Tv's King of the Hill scenario. The goal is to control the 16" diameter ziggurat in the center of the table.

After each player's turn (beginning at the first player's 2nd turn), a player receives a victory point if he has the strongest contingent of Warjacks / Warbeasts measured in army points completely within the control zone. When a player has 5 Victory points, he wins the game.

A player is out of the game if his warcaster or his last Warjack/Warbeast gets killed.

Multiplayer Game

In a multiplayer King of the Ziggurat scenario, all players should have the same size deployment zones, equidistant from each other and from the ziggurat.
